  • Youth Development Professional

    Reports To: Unit Director

    Employee Type: Non-Exempt 

    Salary: $13.29 per hour


    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS (Duties include, but are not limited to):


    Promotes safety of members, quality programs, and positive appearance of the Club at all times.


    Provides positive guidance, discipline and role modeling to members at all times.

    Plans, organizes, and implements a range of program services within the 5 core areas and provides program reports as needed.


    Promotes and stimulates program participation. Participates in staff meetings, special initiatives, and events as directed by the Unit Director.


    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    High School Diploma or G.E.D. required with some post-secondary training highly preferred

    Working knowledge of specific content areas (core programs)

    Experiential knowledge required and academic knowledge preferred regarding the physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs of children from kindergarten to high school age.

    Effective oral and written communication skills.

    Skills in fostering youth development, through encouragement, engagement, involvement and emotional support

    Understanding of human relations, leadership and problem solving

    basic computer skills - including basic operating skills (keyboard, mouse, etc)

    Willingness to be trained on additional skills as your position dictates

    Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check.

    Valid driver’s license and clear driving record that will meet insurance carrier requirements 

    (applicants 25 and older)

  • Human Resource Intern (Fall 2025)


    DEPARTMENT: Operations 


    REPORTS TO: Director of Operations 


    FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt  


    PRIMARY FUNCTION:  


    As an HR Intern at BGCCV, you will support the HR team in daily operations and contribute to various HR initiatives. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the HR profession and develop skills in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration. 


    KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): 


    Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews. Participate in candidate communications and coordination. 


    Onboarding Assistance: Help prepare onboarding materials and support new hire orientations. Assist with the documentation and administration of new hire processes. 


    HR Administration: Maintain and update employee records, process HR paperwork, and ensure data accuracy in HR systems. 


    Employee Relations: Support employee engagement initiatives, assist in organizing team-building activities, and handle employee inquiries as directed. 


    Training & Development: Assist in coordinating training sessions, preparing training materials, and tracking attendance. 


    Compliance & Reporting: Help ensure HR practices comply with company policies and legal requirements. Assist with the preparation of HR reports and data analysis. 


    General Support: Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, managing HR files, and handling correspondence. 


    Qualifications: 


    Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. 


    Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 


    Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and enthusiastic about learning. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 


    Experience: Previous internship or work experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

    Individuals working in this position need to be able to move around the facility, occasionally work outdoors, ascend, and descend stairs. Individuals need to be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally lift or move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to constantly utilize office technology (Computer, printer, copy machine, ect.)

  • Resource Development Intern (Summer & Fall 2025)

    TITLE: Resource Development Intern 


    JOB TYPE: Internship: $13.25 an hour  


    DEPARTMENT: Resource Development 


    REPORTS TO: Director of Resource Development 


    PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Resource Development Intern works with the Director of Resource Development for marketing, data collection, and grant application management.


    KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): 


    Marketing & Planning 


    Coordinate and run assigned pieces of marketing plan.


    Data collection and Grant application management.


    Assist in identifying and collecting data necessary for grant applications and completion.


    Participate in applying for grants.  


    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 


    Working on completion of two year or four-year degree. 


    Interest in Nonprofit Development is preferred.


    Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with supervision. 


    Willingness to be trained in our protocols and structure and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club Staff, Board Members, Community Groups, and other related agencies.  


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 


    Must be physically able to travel, be able to lift at least 20 pounds, and be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Club Van Driver

    TITLE: Van Driver 

    JOB TYPE: Part Time: $18.00 an hour  

    DEPARTMENT: Programs 

    REPORTS TO: Unit Director 

    PRIMARY FUNCTION: To safely transport youth to and from Club locations, schools, and designated pick-up/drop-off points. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and positive experience for Club members while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. 


    KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): Safely transport Club members following designated routes and schedules. 

    Maintain a positive and respectful environment while interacting with youth, parents, and staff. 

    Ensure all passengers follow safety rules, including seatbelt use and proper boarding/exiting procedures. 

    Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. 

    Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel, and vehicle condition. 

    Follow all traffic laws, Club policies, and safety procedures. 

    Assist with loading and unloading as needed. 

     

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 


    Must be at least 25 years of age. 

    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 

    Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. 

    Previous experience in transportation, childcare, or working with youth preferred. 

    Ability to manage a group of children and maintain control in a moving vehicle. 

    Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude. 

    Availability during after-school hours (typically 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM) and occasional evenings or weekends as needed. 

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 


    Ability to sit for extended periods while driving. 

    Capable of assisting children in and out of the van if necessary. 

    Able to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (checking oil, tires, fuel, etc.).
